Leicestershire Wedding at Home

There’s no place like home, especially for Tamsin & Bruce’s Leicestershire Wedding. They created an oasis of wedding magic; with a lakeside marquee, rowing boat, an island with hidden treasure a.k.a. bottles of champers, a home-built swing, bouncy castle and save the best ’til last… hook a duck. 

When your namesake is The Boss of rock n’ roll, you’d better boss the wedding world. And Bruce totally owned it, delivering the ultimate wedding finale, with a surprise fireworks display over the lake for Tam. Romance lives, people!

DIY Wedding

This Leicestershire wedding was DIY in every sense. The bride and groom, along with lots of help from their families, transformed an overgrown field into the ultimate wedding playground. There’s nothing quite like grafting to create your very own wedding venue in the place you grew up. They’d even re-created the little lakeside beach that Tamsin & her sisters enjoyed as kids. The marquee and tables were decorated with so many thoughtful, hand-crafted details, including personalised drinks charms, coasters and the hanging floral display over the dance-floor.

Massive thanks go to Tamsin & Bruce for being bride and groom legends and making the whole day so much fun. It was truly magical to watch the two of you silhouetted against the Summer night sky, loving the immense fireworks display and see Tamsin wipe away the odd tear of joy. This is what weddings are all about – magic happens!

We’ve never eaten so well either – pizzas and paella, now that’s the winning wedding food combo! Also big cheers to Sian Chaplin Events for all her fab planning expertise.
