Stoke Newington Reservoir Wedding

Here come the grooms : Joe and Michael’s super fun Stoke Newington Reservoir Wedding

These guys hold a very special place in our hearts. Hannah and Joe have been friends for seventeen years, since that fateful GCSE results party; so when they told us wedding bells were gonna chime we were mega excited. And when they asked us to photograph their wedding we couldn’t have felt prouder. Then we saw the West Reservoir Centre & we were game on!

Joe has long since left his Derbyshire roots behind and being the fully-fledged Londoners that they are, he and Michael chose the ultimate urban venues for their fun-packed, super relaxed Stoke Newington wedding by the Reservoir. First stop for groom prep photos was a sash-windowed, white-walled, North London apartment in Stoke Newington, followed by a London pub and then an intimate ceremony at Clissold House, with a gathering of close family and friends. Guess what happened next? Back to the pub, of course! 🙂 And the best end to every wedding story… a scrumptious dinner, crazy hilarious / hugely embarrassing speeches and a good ol’ knees up at the ceilidh with all your favourite people.

Although I have a sneaking suspicion this wasn’t their original intention when searching for wedding venues, The West Reservoir Centre provided the perfect stage for large projections of Joe’s bottom (thanks best men!). Luckily the guys also got to have a stunning groom and groom portrait session down by the reservoir, which seemed very apt for Joe – a former sailor. Aye aye.

We do love a city wedding and this one was complete with big smiles, handsome grooms, plenty of champers, a beetle drive, urban backdrops and a few legendary tales. Joe and Michael you guys are truly wonderful humans and we’re lucky to be your friends.
