Tissington Hall Wedding : Laura & Will
Now this is a story all about how Will’s life got flipped turned upside down. That’s right, folks… Will Smith is in da house! The Prince of Belper (not quite Bel Air) married Laura and this is their smasher of a Tissington Hall Wedding. And yes, Will did perform a self-penned, personalised rap as part of his wedding speech. What a guy! Not your average Tissington gig but the crowds loved it!
We love photographing a Tissington Hall Wedding. We were almost as excited to be back for our fourth time as photographers as the bride’s nephew, page boy Oliver… although thankfully Toby’s trousers didn’t fall down, unlike Oliver’s, when he jumped for joy. These are the moments that make a wedding! Hopefully they’ll get this photo out at his 18th!
When you get married at Tissington, you basically launch a village takeover for the weekend. It’s the most beautiful Derbyshire wedding venue, surrounded by rolling hills and dry stone walls, with its very own village church. Laura and Will were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, Tissington and then partied back at the Hall. It was our favourite kind of wedding day to capture – filled with love, warmth and loads of hilarious moments. Plus, there were all those gorgeous colours to frame – the beautiful, Autumnal blooms and the deep red Bridesmaids’ dresses. Yum! Laura was pretty sure it was going to rain all day but my special sun dance worked a treat and those weather gods played the game for most of the afternoon!
We can’t thank the bride and groom enough for asking us to photograph all this magic. Here are just a few of your best bits. Massive congratulations, Mr & Mrs Smith. Mega shout outs to the fab team of local suppliers, too – The Blossom Tree (flowers), Bake Ashbourne (cake) and Red Olive Catering. And of course thanks so much to the ace team at Tissington Hall. XXX
