Wedding Photographer of the Year 2017 – TWIA East Midlands

EAST MIDLANDS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR – THE WEDDING INDUSTRY AWARDS 2017

It’s been a monumental six months in the Hall-Clark house. We got married!!!! It was bloody awesome – weddings are great aren’t they?! I highly recommend having one. In fact, I wish we could have one every year.  Lucky for us we get to celebrate how incredible weddings are about 40 times a year with our amazing couples and our cameras 🙂 We’ve been hugely privileged to share so many wedding days filled with love, joy and crazy dancing this year (and over the last 4 years). It doesn’t get much better than this… or so we thought…

Excitement levels went off the scale a couple of weeks ago, when we found out Red on Blonde Photography had been named “East Midlands Wedding Photographer of the Year” in The Wedding Industry Awards. We were at the awesome Nine Dots Photography Gathering in London, so we couldn’t attend the awards ceremony but via the power of Twitter, Toby announced that we’d won. Eeeeeeeeek!!!! And yeeeeeeeeeehaaaaa!!!! Apologies to other Vietnamese noodle-eaters – our whoops may have caused some alarm in the restaurant!!

We’re absolutely thrilled and so proud to have won TWIA’s Wedding Photographer of the Year for the East Midlands. What makes this award even more special is that it’s our couples who’ve made it happen. Not only by having tip-top weddings and choosing us to photograph them but by taking the time to vote for us and provide feedback to the judging panel. This award belongs to all of us and we can’t thank our brides and grooms enough. We are truly grateful for your support. It means the world to us. In fact, we promised you all bear hugs and cake if we won, so for any voters reading this here’s a huge cyber hug but we’d much rather give you a proper cuddle in person and real cake tastes much better, so please come and visit soon.

This is not the end. We’re always pushing for more, to be even better for our couples and continue to deliver beautiful, authentic photographs that tell the story of your wedding day. We can’t wait for the next step, which is the grand finals in London, where regional winners compete for the national title. There’s a wealth of talent heading for the big smoke in January and we’re ecstatic to be counted amongst them. And we can’t wait for the party!!! Sambucas at the ready.
